Yoda was looking into a higher quality kit (real copper control box) but I think that fell through. His supplier for the old copper kits fell through as well and so Yoda can't get them anymore.

Long story short, not happening any time soon.

Yes very nice indeed....   Maybe that copper will do well on my hilt... I also like that extended emitter too.... so many options so little money.

I noticed the spec sheet you posted... it looks like the one by Francisco Garcia that I used alot... Advice - cross check everything - there are a couple glaring errors... like the number of ribs etc. It caused me alot of troube when I made this one:

you could use gold mylar tape as I don't know if Master Yoda will be able to do this for awhile. Just cut it down to size, and fit it and it works great for a goldish accent like that.

The problem with the copper kit was it peeled after a while. They are also pretty hard to come by now as well.

I have a Luke ROTJ (see sig) that I have been meaning to try this technique out on.
Order the 2 sample packs show here/ There are various thicknesses included.

My thoughts were to cut the 4x4 pieces to fit and use JB weld or some other epoxy to adhere them to the saber.
Also, a sealant would have to be applied to prevent tarnish.

Speaking of sealant, I've come across several references to sealant both here and over at TCSS, but exactly what kind of sealant does one use to protect copper? I'm going to need it for the saber I just made.
