The Heritage - M.H. Build with PC 2.0 Demo
« on: April 12, 2012, 07:27:45 AM »
Hey all,

Been working on the concept and creation of this saber with M.H. for a couple months now.  I was able to get a 2.0 installed in this.  I will do a personal review on the saber when I get it in hand (it is in transit right now) which will focus more on concept and design.  Since this is one of the first sabers to feature the PC 2.0, MH did a video demonstrating its features.

(BTW M.H. is great to work with, I plan on doing another project with him in the near future)

Enjoy

Scott-

That will be something M.H. will need to clarify.  I am sure he will see this thread and respond.  :)

the description in the video explains he mixed up things in his speech.
What he meant is that the negative of the RICE port must go to the negative of the batt pack (on the recharge port for instance). This avoids a ground return via the control box where the port is located, when the latter is all metallic and in contact with the recharge port. The nice point is that when you have both in the same location, wiring is made easier and only 2 wires need to make their way to the board, along with the switch wires.

Thanks for clarifying that erv.  BTW, for those that want to get to the demonstration part of sound and motion decection of the PC 2.0, skip to 6:00 on the video.
