This is a commissioned saber and chassis for Cordaroyfog. It is still a work in progress. This being the first commissioned saber ever done by me and only the third chassis I have ever built. My chassis, I like to call junk chassis, are made from salvaged parts from various electronics and doo-dads. No two chassis are ever alike; I highly doubt I could ever even copy a chassis. Cordaroyfog had wanted a chassis similar to the one in the graflex I recently sold to him, and had wanted me to install a PC-L into it. I soon realized this wouldn't be the best option for ease of SD card access. So, I started with your standard Yoda/Gabby type chassis and worked from there. Going with the flow seems to work best for me (with a little bit of planing here and there). I also decided to try something different and do a weathered chassis, as I had never seen one done before. Seeing as the original graflex has a nice amount of weathering from being 71 years old, it only seemed fitting. At this point I'd say I'm about 70-80% done with the saber and chassis. Turnaround time is fast for me; I received his package in the mail on Monday and I've put just about 40 hours into it... actually 39 hours to be exact. To top it all off, the cost of my chassis are just a fraction of what other people charge! If interested in a chassis, PM me for a price. You maybe surprised at how affordable they are!

really beautiful work, incorporating actual functional components with selected JUNK parts and creating something this good takes a very good eye for detail and aesthetic design , well done, ..... i assume the PC_L is mounted mid chassis ?.. i hope this wont be a problem with swing sensing.

No the PC-L is mounted pretty high up the crystal chamber falls right in the middle. As for swing gestures i haven't been able to do much testing and parameter adjusting as the chassis isn't installed in the hilt yet, and the customer supplied speaker quit out on me while i was adjusting LED parameters. I guess it was just its time, its now resting in my speaker graveyard. lol. once i get a new speaker i can install it into the hilt and swing it around and see how it works.

It's where Yoda mounts his boards.  Works like a charm.  ;)
