I wont see this simply because of that childish, unimaginative and silly name. Savage Opress? Seriousy GL? Sheesh.

* Gah... /insert foot in mouth. Didn't see the charity toy part. Its late, leave me alone lol. Ok, cool. I go to Atlanta all the time, I think I will look into it. Gives me a reason so wear my robes too, so why not. (Still- Savage Opress....*grumble*)

I'd go see it if it was around here as well. The charity peace alone is worth it to me. Will be a great opportunity for the RL/501st to take part in as well.

A Wonderful Cause, and a very interesting thought, being able to watch Darth Tyranus train Savage Opress (the name is a bit much lol), but I believe that I will wait till the footage is on you tube, however I wish I knew of an email to which I could use to donate money to the cause to help the children.

I wonder why this isn't done on a larger scale.  Organizing a 50 state release in major areas would be a great idea and expand the donations exponentially.

Always wondered why Lucasfilm limited these releases, I don't think anything like this has ever happened in Florida - well beyond CV earlier this year and while it was amazing, it was lacking too.

I thought it was a good name. Cause if you sound his first one out it matches what he does, hes a savage guy who kills people makes sense.

The first episode of the Nightsisters 3 part miniseries aired this past Friday, it was pretty good.  Next Friday will introduce Savage Opress.

I'm getting a bit annoyed with the convoluted storylines.   starting in 1980, with the character of boba fett, an entire culture was developed to back up this character.  books were written about 'mandalorian armor'.  fans started making 'custom mando' costumes.  everyone knew boba fett was a mandalorian. like everyone knows that Han Solo was Correllian; (that Bill Shatner is canadian); etc.

the words "boba fett" and "mandalorian" were forever entwined in our collective consciousness;   you can't have one without the other.  (as an adjective, the word was only INVENTED to describe Boba Fett!)

but now the Clone Wars has blown it all out the window.  watching Dave Filoni try to explain it in the bonus material was almost painful to watch.  "..then George tells us, maybe Jango wasn't a mandolorian." he speaks the words as if they make sense, but the look on his face says "W.T.F!?"

the clone wars' attempted to explore the mandalorian homeworld, but they failed to include ANY kind of backstory which would include the Fetts.  in typical "make it up as we go along" fashion, the final storyline couldn't EVEN be adapted to include them, without branding them as Patriots.  (which would go completely against their established "loner" character traits)

so now george says "....ok.  well.  I guess boba fett wasn't mandalorian. *shrug*.  done and done."      ::) ::) ::) ::) (whaaaat!?)

the cart is soooo far in front of the horse, that its been left as a "Mystery",   how jango EVEn got his hands on the "Mandalorian" Armor
(a term which, up until now, had ALWAYS defined his (and boba's) CHARACTER  -- not just their clothes!!)  >:(

in their attempt to show us Mandalore (aka: 'boba fett's homeworld'), they went SOOO far askew, that it couldn't EVEN be applied to the classic definition of the word (aka: boba fett).

in order to accept the clone wars,   we have to accept,    that everything we know is wrong.

like that line from indiana jones:"everyone is lost but me"[/George]  ::)  ::)  ::)  ::)  ::)  Boba Fett wasn't REALLY mandalorian.

((how'dya like THEM apples! you silly stooopid audience!  nobody's right but meeeeee!  hehehe))

what's next?    palpatine was't REALLY the emperor , he was just pretending?   Vader wasn't REALLY a 'dark lord', he was just posing? Han wasn't REALLY a "correllian", he was born in Hawaii?  Luke wasn't REALLY a farm-boy..  we was.. (heaven forbid).. a Farm-GiRL!?    :o ((actually thats not so far fetched.  scratch that.  bad example))  ;D you get the point.

now Darth Maul and Ventress are the same race.  (?)  ::)  ::)   yeah.  ok.   ::) ::) (whatever dude).

"The Star Wars story is really the tragedy of Darth Vader. That is the story.
Once Vader dies, he doesn't come back to life, the Emperor doesn't get cloned, and Luke doesn't get married..."

Wedge, Wookiee has Savage Opress and Darth Maul Listed as Zabrak and Ventress as a Rattataki.

Edit:  I just clicked on Rattataki and it points out that "Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress was generally thought to be a Rattataki while in fact she was a Zabrak-Human hybrid species called the Dathomirian."

So never mind...
