Umm...

Although there weren't many reviews of my 1st two CDs (not sure why, since I sold 100s??)... I'd love to see reviews, thoughts, what you liked, what you didn't... things you'd like to tell people about your experience using the 3rd Sound Compendium for CF... although it's only JUST been finished (October 2010).

Videos... text reviews... snapshots... whatever.  Although obviously videos usually tell a better story.

I think it would benefit new folks who plan to buy as well.  Although it's true that most anything you want to know is on the site link:

In time, I'll someday be able to do INDIVIDUAL, properly "short" demo videos of each font... but I've just had no time to do such things, as it would entail recording/importing/editing/building/uploading ~50 individual videos in order to demo each font from each CD (yes, including CD3).  I'd also have to load up a bunch of SD cards for that, and... it's just one more thing to do, hehehe.

Anyhow... I guess have fun reviewing!

I'll have my own camcorder in a couple of days. Expect quite a few vids from me soon.

On a side note, I've been thinking of making some audio previews of ALL fonts I can gather...kinda like there is on, at least I think, cd1 and 2. I don't know how I would host and link them here however (lots of popular sites for picture and video...not so much for pure audio). This ties in to an idea you had a while back on the TCSS forums for having previews of all the fonts in one place. I'll email you sometime in the future and see what you think. Doing short video previews would be better, but....wow that's quite a bit of work!

I received my CD yesterday, THANKYOU!!!  I had a chance to check out most of the fonts.  DUUUUDE!!!  That some real quality work there!!!  Believe me, I am not just trying to kiss butt... but every single font is freakin' AWESOME!!!!!!
 
You know I like and appreciate all your fonts and if it's at all possible, it seems like you have taken your font making skills to a whole new level with this 3rd CD!...WELL DONE!!!  Extremely creative and well mixed!!!  I think without a doubt, you have one again claimed/re-earned your 'Master CF Font maker' title again ha ha.  I must say that apart from the technical side of font making, the reason why I think your fonts are the best is due to your amazing creative streak.  That really comes through, especially in these new fonts as well as your funny as heck videos etc.
 
Where on earth did you get such cool samples for like the Crystaline Workshop... WOW!!!
 
Also the G-Busters and Yoda fonts - BRILLIANT!!!  You selected the perfect quote samples and placed them in the perfect places!  I must admit, I thought that a Yoda font would be awesome but I didn't think it could be THAT awesome!

Ahhhh!    Thanks Shade, that is a DOPE demo!    In some ways, this is the best kind of "font examplers" that I can hope for: from the fans/purchasers! 

I promise to (eventually) do some singular demos of EVERY font I've ever made someday... but it will apparently have to wait until December based on all sorts of stuff going on lately...

Perhaps I do not have a setting in my config correct.
When I power the saber on in a CF 4.31, I get a full brightness blade, and the sound slowly creeps up.

Is there a way to set it with the blade powering fully up along with the font?
I have my config set to

Jango... this is the wrong thread for such a question, as this one is supposed to be reviews of the CD3.  Although I don't think I opened a troubleshooting thread yet for CD3.  The old CD1 and CD2 t-shooter threads got buried since no one ever posted there, lol...

As to your question, the only thing I can think as to why your light issue is occurring MAY be the length of the poweron sound.  Maybe.  That's more of a guess vs. "how Erv programmed things".

I would personally try a shorter poweron sound to see if the problem "follows you"...

Additionally, I'd need more information, such as parameters brk=? and slp=? ... and also what LED you are using, at what current, and if you have the LED on cool tape or with thermal paste... and even if you are using a charge port vs. replaceable alkalines, etc.  As strange as any of that may sound.

Finally... I seem to remember some kind of possible ramping issue with CF v4.xxx (can't remember)... so, we might need Erv's help here.

I'll be honest... I don't know when I'll be able to do such videos... BUT... I hope to do such things sometime soon, probably near December.

In the meantime... the folks who have PURCHASED the CD3 (such as Shadeslinger)... well, I sure hope they do some video demos of the fonts too!

Things have just been really busy.  Ever since I finished CD3, I've needed to catch up on other work--primarily my main business--saber fencing!
