Remember in ESB Vader himself said that they were "testing" carbon freezing on Han to ensure it's safety......................THEY WOULDN'T EVEN HAVE HAD TO DO THAT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wish the producers would give the original movies the respect they deserve.
that a very good point. why would he have to test anything if he himself already did it.

They were testing the facilities. I think Lando was saying they hadn't used it in a while. Plus, Vader was so sure that Han would be fine. Probably do to his previous knowledge.

With the Clone Wars, you have to suspend disbelief and make the story work into your vision of what the saga should be. Only then can anyone give the series a chance.

Vader clearly said they were testing THIS facility, I believe. Meaning we know Carbon freezing works, but we don't know if THE FACILITY ON CLOUD CITY WORKS. Just like in real life when manufacturing facilities are tested if they are new or haven't been used in a while to see if everything works right, even if the technology is nothing new and other plants have the same machinery. Just because the plant in Detroit works fine doesn't automatically mean the one in China works fine. So just because the Imperials may have Carbon freezing chambers that work doesn't mean Cloud City does.

I know if the last time I carbon froze someone was 20-30 years ago, I'd want to test it out again before damaging something incredibly important to the emperor, just to make sure it worked.  Testing the crew who worked it to make sure that generation knew what it was doing when freezing organic materials would seem wise to me as well.  Who knew when the last time cloud city carbon froze anything anywho!

Savage Oppress.. I surprisingly liked him. Regardless of his silly name. I liked seeing the struggle that the original character went through and I mean c'mon, giant guy with an axe, AND a lightsaber! Gimli on steroids! Gotta love it!

Yeah, I kinda like Savage Oppress, but I agree with everyone else that his name is dumb.

Nahdar Vebb
« Reply #51 on: March 17, 2011, 07:13:08 AM »
So, Nahdar Vebb, what do we all think of this guy? He's a jedi knight (rather cool one at that) who wants revenge on Grevious? Not really the jedi way. He said he didn't have his master (Kit Fisto) during the trials... Lack of training perhaps? I'm just curious to see what we all think of this guy.

well his own lust for revenge ended up killing him when he fought grievous so there isn't much to discuss since he was seen in only one episode and he died :P

I think Nahdar was foolish and unfortunately met a fitting end

Yeah, I agree. Nahdar was clearly not ready to be a jedi knight if he felt those emotions and ignored his master. I think he met a perfectly fitting end. I would've liked to see more of him though, maybe still as Kit Fisto's Padawan. I mean Luminara and Anakin arent the ONLY jedi with padawans :)

Nahdar is what Anakin would've been at an earlier stage.

As they say in The Old Republic, there seems to be two general classes of jedi ; the older, wiser, more experienced master, as well as the younger, fiery-spirited jedi that is constantly going on quests for adventure and vengeance.

So true! Look at Obi-Wan and Anakin for example or Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon!

I agree. Is it me? or did this season seem a little short? and the story line was a little weird at times

Just my opinion. That last episode felt like it was the right amount of length for an episode. I wish they would have 1 hour episodes every week. Not like they don't have the money for it. These little 30 minute episodes seem really short considering all the story line they have to incorporate each time. Just seems like too little for something that I wait an entire week to watch. They try so hard to CRAM so much in such a short length of time. It can be disappointing at times. I can wait a week for a new episode of HOUSE because at least I know I am going to get a lot out of it.
