Process Information:

Payment Options and Process for Custom Builds
Once a Deposit/Retention Fee is paid (deposits are half of the total), a design will be made for you if you have not provided one.
Through phone conversations, PM, or e-mail  the design will be tweaked to your specifications, provided the design is realistic and will work with the electronics you have chosen.  Payments can be made throughout the course of the build or in one lump sum.  Of course, a saber will not be shipped until final payment (including shipping and insurance) has been paid. During the design process, ITEMIZED estimates will be e-mailed to you. Please do not pay off the estimates since a Paypal request will be sent to you.  After payments are made or if any changes have been made to the build, a new invoice will be sent to you for your records.
The new invoice will reflect any changes (i.e. additions or subtractions to the build, payments made, etc.).  During the building process, please keep in mind that I may be waiting on parts and that I work on numerous sabers at one time.  This may mean that a customer who ordered after you might get his/her saber first.

Payment policy:

Money orders and paypal are preferred methods of payment.

    * Money orders must clear the banking system and authenticity checks before your item is shipped
    * Paypal
          o Personal payment type, payment owed. no fees or buyer protection from paypal.
          o Purchase payment type. You will have buyer protection, but a 4% surcharge will be added to your total.


Services:

Sound board repair:

"UltraSound" sound boards
I have spent a lot of time reverse engineering and making a schematic for the US boards and I can now repair most problems with them and am working on being able to repair 100% (all I lack is the PIC and memory coding).

Diagnostic fee:$10.  This is non-refundable and includes my time to test the board and return shipping if the board is not repairable (biggest part going toward return shipping).
Minor repair fee:$35. (the $10 is absorbed in this cost.  You will not be charged $10 + $35 if I am able to repair)
Major repair fee:$50.  This is for a severely damaged board with several components faulty or the traces of the board are damaged and I have to make new traces.

MR/Hasbro sound boards
I can repair some problems with the MR boards but unfortunately a lot of the problems are with the main chip (over voltage etc) and can not be repaired because the chip is not replaceable.  I can repair problems with the external components though and will be glad to try and repair them with the same charges as the US boards.  

For all sound board problems please PM me with a detailed problem list and I will try to diagnose your problem before I have you send it to me.  

Electronic and wiring repair:

I can repair most wiring problems caused by poor execution, cheap products or rats nest wiring.  I can also repair/replace wiring, switches, recharge ports, and LEDs and do them properly (correct wire length, correct heat shrink, correct gauge wire and properly run wires).

Customer Supplied Board $20.00 to $50.00
(meaning you supply the board and then pay me to install it)

This price is for a straight swap of boards only. Should you want your MR
sound board returned to you there is a surcharge of $25.00


Install Crystal Focus: (Customer supplied boards ONLY)

Basic Install and setup (Includes choice of Novastar's sound fonts, and basic calibration) - $120
Custom Installs and advanced setups - **CONTACT FOR ESTIMATE**
Be advised these prices do not include parts cost



MR/Hasbro FX Conversions $99.00:
(Price includes TCSS blade holder but does not include a new blade)

LED Swap:
Main LED replacement  $15.00
Accent LED replacement $10.00
Price does not include the cost of the LED and does not include accent LED initial installation.
For accent LED’s, it is simply replacing an already existing
LED dues to a color change preference or a burnt LED.

Install in hilt Rechargeable battery system (Includes charger):
NIMH - $55
Li-ion - $65
Prices can change based on different batteries.

Powder Coating:
Email for quote and please provide TCSS named items and quantities for accuracy

Custom saber builds:
Email/PM for a quote.  Please give a general design you would like.

IMPORTANT Disclaimers….please read the following

Please be advised that these prices do not include miscellaneous parts costs and if any additional
miscellaneous parts are required, you will be invoiced accordingly.
All additional parts will be itemized on your invoice.


Late Change Fee structure:
Once a deposit is made, the parts are ordered.  Should you make any changes after that, a fee will be assessed.
Parts cost + shipping from purveyor + $20.00


Rush Order Fee:
Rush Order $10.00 base + $10.00 for each saber ahead of yours
For example: Your saber has 7 other builds ahead of it. You need it NOW!
$80.00 fee will be imposed.

Nuisance Fee Structure:
Once your build is started I will answer status requests once a week.
3 status requests in 1-2 weeks will get a $20.00 fee added, per request.
This is a guideline, and subject to my judgment. If you want it rushed see above.



MH Custom Sabers Limited Warranty:
Limited Warranty covers defects in workmanship for the Product for a period of 90 days
from the original date of Receipt from MH Custom Sabers.

This limited Warranty does not cover any damage due to (1) acts of God, accident, misuse, abuse,
negligence, improper handling, commercial use or modifications of this Product, or normal wear and tear;
(2) improper operation or maintenance of this Product; or (3) attempted repair by any party other than
MH Custom Sabers.
This Limited Warranty does not apply where it is determined by MH Custom Sabers that there is no fault with
the product itself. Repairs not covered by the Limited Warranty may, at MH Custom Sabers’ discretion, be carried
out at the owner's expense.

And - You, the customer, are responsible for the cost of returning the Product to and return shipping
from MH Custom Sabers. Electronics, such as soundboards, batteries and LEDs are not warranted by MH Custom Sabers, as I did not make them.  We are not responsible for Soundcard failures, blown speakers, or over driven LEDS or any other operator errors.  Crystal Focus Repairs must be performed by Plecterlabs. You will be responsible for any fees this incurs.  If you attempt to repair it yourself, the warranty is VOID.  I will repair, but it will be at the buyer’s expense.
Warranty is non transferable.

This is a SF Leia that I polished and powder coated.

This is a KiAdi I polished, powdercoated (inlays) and installed a MR Yoda sound board into.


Here is a Korbanth LS6 that I made a thin neck for.  The inner tube is not cut in the pic but was when finished:


Here is a custom MHS saber I built.  I polished and powder coated plus installed a US 2.1 with crystal chamber.




Here is one of my all time favorites.  It is an MHS saber I polished, powder coated and polished all the brass as well.  I installed a US 2.1.  It also has a custom flush mount button.

Here is a Korbanth LS6 that I turned into a V2.  I made it a thin neck version (3/4 neck).  I installed a CF 4.01 as well as doing all the weathering and custom activation buttons.
