Occasus - A 10W CF 4.3 Clash Flash Saber

Hello CF Saber Fans! ;D

We had so much fun with Aurora and playing with the CF and the clash flash feature that we had to do it again. We use the LEDengin 10W RGBA mixed for our Vader's Vault Oppression Stopping Purpliscious Purple© and used the green die with the power extender to acheive the clash flash. The flash ends up being a white with a slight hint of purple and is VERY bright ;D This time we went with a more spartan color scheme for the hilt with a flat black and machined/polished aluminum color set. At 10.5 inches, a shorter hilt than we normally make, it took all of our cram-fu, and bling-fu skills to pull it off! Lots of detailed lathing on the custom made emitter to compliment the S-Curve machined aluminum overlay, I wanted a kind of Anakin ROTS feel there. The flush mount anti-vandal switch,recessed accent leds and recessed recharge-port are all connected by a nice milled groove that is in line with the groove in the lower grip section. The accent LEDs are set off by dished indents in the milled groove. I got the inspiration from models I've seen for planetary conjunctions. I wanted it to look like glowing heavenly bodies connected by a line ;D The internals are crammed tight in the shorter hilt, so I built a chassis that allows the speaker to swing out of the way to allow access to the SD card. It works marvelously! For the aux switch, I wanted it unobtrusive, yet not completely hidden, so I recessed it under the overlay by the button cap screw. The button sticks out just enough to actuate without being able to inadvertantly hit it.

For sound fonts, we had loads of fun with Novastar's sound compendium vol. 2. If you haven't bought it yet and you have a CF...shame on you :D The new fonts are great and I threw in what quickly grew to be my favorite fonts from the CD. I'd like to also thank Novastar for his awesome work on the collabrative font - Thrasher, for which I provided the guitar clips.

I can't see anything wrong with that saber, it is truly a masterpiece.  I hope the sale goes well!  I'm suprised that you guys haven't made a guitar saber, since you depict one on your personal fx tag :)

Thanks! After doing your card for Aurora, I found that I quite liked the sound of the Resblade and TFU Starkiller in the saber so I had to add them ;)
