On the site for mail in conversion, I don't understand the blade part. says something about if the blade is in good condition it will be replaced. what i don't get, is if the blade is good you just use the original, or do you actually give a better blade? There is also an option for 20 dollars more that makes it confusing to me.

I'll have to check that out and see... There just may be some typos. I know in the past, if the blade was in good shape, we just upgraded it with our film and tip -but if it was in bad shape or missing, the customer could select to upgrade to a new blade at a reduced price for purchasing it at the time of the conversion.

I'll double check the info when I get back to the shop, but I'm pretty sure that's what we were trying to get across when describing the process.

I never converted any of my MR lightsabers, but when it is converted, they upgrade the blade to what fits it. For $20 you get the heavier dueling blade if you so choose. The blade that comes with your FX saber has 2 holes in them and that is how it is permanently in place. Hope that helps.
