Dear Friends,

after a week of delay with some ordered parts that wouldn't show up, I finally have 99% of my supplies to complete the CF 4.3 batch and I'm no more stuck in second gear.

I'm happy to announce the release date for October 24th, 8 PM, Paris time.

I'm pushing the date that far since :
- I'm still missing a few micro SD card
- It will give Novastar a little more time to finish and burn his compendium CD #2, then send them to me.
- I'm attending the FACTs 2009 convention on the 17-18th and I have several things to complete before then.

Boards are now 80% assembled. Probably 90% or more by the week-end.
We will release some bundles with CF, like CF + compendium CD#2 (Around 20 of them) and possibly CF + CD#1 + CD#2 (a few of them). Novastar's CDs should hit my desk by the end of the month, so don't ask about shipping. CF + CD bundles will ship when the CDs will be there.

I will release also a few luxeon dimmer/drivers, around 15 blaster cores, a couple of them with the mini screens. I do have some more screens, so if you find only the regular ones in stock, email us to see if we can help. Some polyC blades, film and clearance items will be proposed too.

As usual, shipping will be spread over a month maximum. Now the work in the house is over, I have more time for shipping, so it will be *much faster* compared to last year batch.

Please be aware that CF price might increase of 1-2 euro due to the use of a 2 GB micro SD card (good for you, more space for iSaber music tracks). I still have to check that on the bill of materials / parts.

I also very pleased to announce officially the official Plecter Labs Tech Station run by independant Electronic Engineer and Sabersmith Eandori. He's now fully operationnal at Saber Tech Shop and repairing CF is only one of his numerous skills !

as for "not receiving the newsletter". I tried everything, really. Now the website is running fine since I've upgraded my hosting offer, more mysql, more bandwith and appropriate timeout for the mysql server so that the newsletter is sent correctly.

A customer reported he couldn't get the newsletter, it took ages to fix. Of course it's on his side. For some reason, providers are filtering everything. Sometimes it's just ISP mail, sometimes it's everything they can't DNS check, and they have non updated DNS. Sometimes it's grey listing. I don't know. If you never receive anything, check with your provider. The mail is supposed to come from @plecterlabs.com but I'm using the provider's mail server. I'm using a world wide used store website and no problem of this sort is mentionned.

Personnally I see no reason a provider should filter at that level cause you can never figure that some mail isn't reaching you. It took several attempts for my normal yahoo email to be accepted by vader's vault, for some reasons.

tricky question. No, I'm just asking everybody to be kind and stay under 2-3. Be aware that I *won't* put all the stock online at once simply because with the non real time stock depletion, I have to put a small amount online otherwise I have to go refunding.
Weird / big orders from people I don't know will be cancelled if I can't figure out.

if you want to maximize your chances, you shouldn't try huge quantities. Also, note that I'll be releasing 1/3rd or 1/4th  of the stock with nova's CD bundles. You might consider those also to secure a CF. Understand that's it's no "forcing" the buy of those CDs, it's just that you have bare CF and bundles, choose wisely, depending on your needs.
