Clone Wars Series DVD
« on: March 26, 2009, 07:30:31 PM »
Well folks, I decided to buy this gem off Amazon.com for the price of $19.99. Boy did I get gipped. In the title it said this was the "series" which I interpreted as the first season. Well I was fooled. It showed up today as a 4 episode teaser for the real dvd set to come out in a few months. If you happen to see this dvd, dont buy it! You'll feel as bad as I do knowing you shelled out a good $20 for a complete waste of time. I love the cartoon, but seriously, 4 episodes? Oh yes, the Sith really pulled the wool over my eyes on that one. I cant wait till the box set comes out, then the price will more than likely be the same, so another $20 will have to be sacrificed for the greater good.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that. Amazon can be really slim on their descriptions, I've found. Thanks for the warning though.

Firith Tar said it all!

I vividly remember shelling out 45 bucks to get the super deluxe VHS tape of Episode I, simply because GL REFUSED to go the DVD route.  But guess what?  It came out on DVD two years later.

This is just the latest in a long line of drawing out as much money as possible from the fan base.  Typical.

Hate to be the turd in this, but I've seen nothing but ads for this DVD for the past 2 weeks - and it says its only four episodes.  I thought that they were only going to be releasing the season in four episode increments in six volumes, which I think would be crap to do.  Hopefully they will release the entire season in a set Senti Xamas says.

I bought the DVD of Star Wars: Clone wars at Wal-Mart who have an extra episode on it compared to the Starwars.com release or any other site. They have the Duel Of The Droids (Episode) on the Wal-Mart version. I would suggest every Jedi get that one.  ;D

The saga continues with the Emmy-winning "Star Wars: Clone Wars," available for the first time ever on DVD. This animated micro-series, directed by Genny.
