well after another month of waiting, and no response, i submitted my complaint with the IC3. I suggest everyone else do the same. Now Tatoosby5 is on RS making nice, and saying he wants to build a good rep >:(.
This is sad. First custom saber i wanted to buy, and got majorly screwed.

I cannot believe what this guy is doing on Rebelscum!!!  Everyone who is a user there who has spoken to this guy should go over there and post enmass.  Here is the thread http://threads.rebelscum.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=3661414&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=2&vc=1 .  He is trying to fleece everyone over there into thinking that he has not talked to Steve in years and has nothing to do with him so that he can actively solicit business there.  I personally have no less than 5 emails from this guy admitted that Steve is making the sabers for him.  I just can't believe this!!!  You have got to be kidding me!!! >:(

As far as I am concerned Tattoosby5 is off limits. I will not purchase any of his sabers via Ebay until this is resolved.

This tragedy has gone on long enough, and I am ashamed t have defended him initially.
If you are reading this Tattoosby5 my ebay handle is scarykindofquiet.
I have sent you questions about some of your sabers.
Now I would like you to block me.

I am another one who said early on to practice patience, .....but a person can only do so much. For patience to exist, there has to be some communication, ...some understanding of why deadlines were not met.

That time passed quite a while back. This guy is simply crooked, with NO business ethics what so ever.
Mistakes can happen, ...delays are always around the corner, .but this guy. Geez, what can be said about him is not suitable for THIS forum. I'm embarrassed for him.

I did not purchased one, I consider myself lucky NOW that I missed this. I have "fixed" a few of these though. And while the hilt itself is not toooo bad, the electronics were subpar.

To all of you would did not get your starkiller saber, I truly am sorry. Even if you ever do get it, the bitter taste of this sale has most likely killed off any enthusiasm you had for it, .........and that is also sad. This saber has the chance to be awesome, .....really REALLY awesome. And that, even if the sabers get delivered, is lost.

Thanks DC, that was very well said.  Originally, I was excited about the saber and wanted to add it to our personal collection.   However, having seen the sad state of several of the ones that were delivered, coupled with 6 months of non-communication, the EBAY sales, and now the lies by Tattoosby5 I am utterly disenchanted.  If it does ever arrive, it will be converted and sold and then we will make our own Starkiller the way these should have been made.  I am dissappointed, disillusioned, and very angry. >:(

Allaerra, I feel exactly the same way. If it does arrive I don't think I will keep it and I'll try and make my own.

Edit: Has anyone found out yet if the IC3 works with poeple outside the United States?

Second Edit: I just went through the IC3 site and it had a drop down menu for different countries, so even if your not in the USA you can still file a complaint.

Agreed, this is frustrating. If i ever do get it, i will probably end up selling it off. And since i dont have the skills, or tools to make my own as well as a baby on the way, i guess i'll never get into the saber collecting that i wanted to.

Oldman808, I would just "plead" with you to not let this event completely ruin the saber collecting field for you. This is a very annoying, angering, dirty event but it is the EXCEPTION, not the RULE! Look on these forums to see hundreds of people with sabers that have been delivered in good condition, exactly how it was said in the topic or better, and for good prices. If you want to get into saber-collecting, I'd reccomend either:
A. Looking in the Trade Federation sections for approved sellers and contacting them about making you a custom saber (or Starkiller) if that's what you're looking for. Who knows, they might even help you out money-wise because of this event!
B. Go to www.ultrasabers.com and look through their UltraFX section if you're looking for movie-replicas with sound and a brighter blade (as well as removable)
C. Looking through the Forum Gallery, find a saber you like that was created and talk to the sabersmith who made it.

I know this is a very "souring" experience but saber-collecting is bigger then it! :) Good luck.

I would agree with Durangus on this one.  Our saber Guilde is comprised of a list of reputable dealers we have all dealt with in the past.  You will find many great sabersmiths on here that could easily make that saber for you.  Excellent machinists would be Acerocket and Do-Clo for starters.  Just do a little research on our site and you will find what you are looking for.  Or just ask around and a member will point you in the right direction.

Now custom sabers do take time to create as they are all one of a kind.  It could take many months to get your order fulfilled.  I will guarantee you though, if you use a sabersmith on our site they will keep you updated as to the progress.  You won't just throw them money and then lose all contact with them.  Plus we have their private numbers and addresses.  ;D  These are trusted friends in our community.

There are many of us here that do custom work.  Look in the new section, here on these forums, Cloud City.  There you will find the Mining Colony where many sabersmiths post their work and lists of services.  Then check out the feedback threads.  MachinedFX was an unusual example and no one is more angry at him than his peers as he has left a bad taste in the mouths of many.  Don't let that one bad apple spoil the pie ;)
