Keiran, in order to obtain a CF you need to register on the Plecter Labs website and make sure that you sign up for the newsletter. When the information regarding the sale is released, you need to be there with cash in hand and bells on. There are only a couple of opportunities per year, these are hand made boards and are in high demand. They literally sell out in moments. If you are 5 minutes late to the party, you might very well have missed your opportunity for another few months. Hope this helps

Ok... this is a small, "unofficial" bug that Don Close, Erv and myself have found with (at least) v4.x of CF.

NOTE: This minor bug is *NOT* part of the new run of CF... it will be repaired with the new release.

* You have CF v4.0 or v4.1 (possibly older versions as well)
* You are doing some kind of "flash on clash" setup. In other words, you probably have an RGB or LEDEngin or Rebel, or some kind of multiple die setup
* While running the saber in any sound mode... you trigger the clash (by whacking the saber, duh)...
* BEFORE the clash (and most importantly, the "flash") has completed, you power off the saber
* The clash circuit LED will remain on

* Turning the saber "on" again will reset things

Now... this is pretty difficult to accomplish unless you accidentally turn off your saber during a lot of spinning and smashing, swinging and clashing. It's nearly impossible to achieve this error with APOP functioning... and even more difficult to achieve if your switches are recessed.

Anyhow. It's being resolved for the upcoming release of CF, which will now be "CFv4.3".

no eta yet but I'll start working on a new batch on monday. I'm like 1 month late I know.
I'm also having some troubles with my domain, there are so many subscribers to the newsletter that the mysql server gives out. I'm trying to get this fixed very soon but it doesn't rely on me.

I'll post here too in a news subject / thread when I have something for you guys. That will be the last 4.x run, then I'll move to V5, for real, this time. After a year renovating the house, I'm definitly back

I just read the Sept newsletter. It's nice to see you got everything sorted at the new homestead man, good for you!

I, like many others here, am looking forward to future new batches of "the holy grail".

Me being the ever observant one, noticed that you have and will be splitting your CF in runs for both hobbyists and smiths. Thank you very much for the heads up on that (so it turns out that the so called "SSOTBT" was for real

). And no, that's not a complaint at all. It's your business and you're entitled to run it as you please. So I can't stress enough, thank you for keeping everything on the level. It's nice to see someone give it to us straight.

I do appologize for the multiple letters some of you received. I'm having mysql timeout problems with my provider, and it's partially due to the increasing number of the subscribers to the newsletter. Maybe the website is showing up some limitations, I'll see...
