Hello there everyone. Due to the overwhelming number of common questions about these sabers that I have been receiving both here on the forums, and via email. I feel it is due time to post this.

One thing I must stress: PLEASE read the item descriptions of these sabers carefully.  Most of the questions you may have will most likely be answered by doing so.  Cool

I will be updating this topic, as I get information.  I have ordered a Dark Vagabond, and will be ordering a Dominix soon.

Now, Let's get down to business...

ULTRA SABERS E SERIES SABER F.A.Q.

Q: Can you install sound in these sabers? Specifically, can you install the new Ultra Sound 2.0?

A: The Short answer: No, there is not enough space in the hilt to do so. There is no way to mount a speaker easily, and the construction of the E Series sabers is not done with the intention of sound.

The Long opinionated answer:  Asking to do this is like asking if you can stuff a Ferrari F1 Engine into a Go Kart. (No offense to the saber mind you, as they are quite nice), but what would be the point?  To have a $120 Sound board  wrapped in a $40 PVC hilt?  See my second Lux V installation Question below... By the time you pay for shipping of both items to someone to do the install, and the return shipping back to you, plus paying for extra services in fabricating parts, and labor fees for the wiring and installation, you could easily have built your own custom hilt.  Just my opinion.

Q: Can you, or will you install a Lux V in my E Series saber?

A: No.  The Lux V requires twice the Voltage as a LuxIII or Seoul P4 (Adegan Silver). This means that you will either need more batteries (which there is no space for), Or you will have to switch to a more expensive battery solution, and upgrading to a buckpuck that costs $15.  Plus the Lux V LED's cost three times as much as a Lux III.  These sabers were designed with affordability in mind, and when you start adding $25 LEDS, $11 batteries,  and headaches from proper binning of those $25 LED's. You kind of defeat the original intent.  If you want to attempt it yourself, feel free! Void the warranty, and knock yourself out.

Q: But I really want a Lux V saber! Please can you do this?

A: If you don't mind paying up front for the saber. Paying for shipping to someone to do the work, paying for the LED, batteries, and a Custom install fee, sure I suppose I could, but it will cost ya.  Grin

Q:

1.Can I customize my Dominix, Vagabond, Dark Apprentice, Initiate, Slim initiate, Manticore, phantom, etc etc?

2. If so, what should I use?

A:

1. Yes you can, that's part of the intent.

2. Your Imagination... Your Creativity... YOUR hands....  Cheesy

Q: What kind of blade comes on these?

A:  The Item Description of each one states this information. Typically Mid-Grade Ultrablades.

Q: What kind of batteries do these sabers take?

A: That information is also in the item description of each saber, and if you look around the forums a bit, in other topics you may just find that answer as well. Wink

Q: I noticed that  (*Insert Saber Name here*) is out of stock on your website... When will it be back in stock? How will I know?

A: Not surprising.  These sabers practically sell themselves. They will be back in stock, when the techies get them finished.  You will know when you see them in stock on the website, or when you see an announcement here on the forums regarding that subject. Keep your eyes peeled...

Q: I just ordered my (*Insert Saber Name here*) Three days ago.  WHY isn't it in my hands right NOW?

A: This has been explained several times in many topics, and many boards. Including the the board in which this topic is posted.  You can check your order status on the main website. That is if you signed up for an Ultra Sabers account, and didn't order anonymously.  Wink  This is also explained in the item descriptions, and in the Ultra Sabers Knowledge base of the main Website.

FYI
The Phantom is meant for light dueling/film work and the like. It is not meant for heavy dueling.
