the screen used maul was a piece of plastic.
this is just another 'stunt saber' from their "precision cast replicas" line.
the entire line is completely flawed because they are not making replicas of "stunt sabers" AT ALL;
they are reproducing "hero hilts" in resin instead of metal... and simply calling them "stunt sabers"
because they are resin.
((note: the 2 luke ROTJ sabers from this line are the V1 hero hilt and the V2 hero hilt -- there were NO "resin" versions of these sabers on set.
these are not "Replicas" of any "stunt saber" that existed in Reality(tm). they are "hero hilts" made in plastic, instead of metal (like a hasbro toy)).
BUT ---> ray parks' Maul hero hilt WAS a resin stunt saber, in Reality(tm)
hehe.
SO now finally they can call this (plastic) product of theirs a "replica", without LYING about it.
(cool beans).
BUT the very IDEA of turning that cheap plastic-stunt-saber-line
into the new "LE" line, is EQUALLY ill-conceived.
--> NOW we're passing off those cheap resin abominations AS the new "LE" line!? using the (plastic) Maul as the centerpiece for their New Definition of what "LE" means !?
this makes baby anakin cry.
its better if they just (LIE TO US) and call them "Replica stunt sabers" like before (even where NO such stunt saber existed) --- I am NOT looking forward to an entire line of PLASTIC "LE" sabers.
