I thought the music was decent, the intro did throw me off though.  I think the only reason I might not of liked the intro is because it wasn't classic Star Wars.

Thanks to Darth Nerdold for the sig!

Hello guy's,... I did not read this topic yet, but I just saw the movie with my 3 kids in the theatre.
I did not expected so much of it, so first I downloaded it to watch a litle.
I saw how good it looked so stopped looking and took my kids with me.
After 10 minutes you forget it is an animation where you looking at.
It's logical because the last Star Wars movie came out the computer also.
I really liked it, and I accepted it as a real Star Wars movie.
I'm looking forward to see the rest on TV.

Now I go and read this topic.
I thought, this is the way to get a honest review from me without being forced by you all. Jedi and Sith.

Cool. Aside from the "Dark Forces" Intro, I love alot of the jungle-like fight music! I will be buying this along with my Dualshock 3! SWEETS! Thanks Master Mundi! 8)

lol Yeah, I saw it at Wal~Mart the other day. I'll probably get it the next time I'm out there.

I also managed to pick up some free Clone Wars stickers from my school's bookstore yesterday. :)

shakespeare said it best (macbeth) :

"..it's but a walking shadow [of SW], a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is [watched] no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing."

 :-*

same could be said of all pulp fiction.

I enjoyed it for what it was.   even before I went in I kept referring to it as "..Sound and Fury! Sound and Fury! bwahaha!"
(my wife was like,  '....sound and fury? I thought it was just called 'clone wars' with no subtitle?')  :P

--> I wasn't expecting a meaningful-chapter-of-the-saga just a mindless jaunt into a galaxy far far away.
like all TV shows this one will end every episode on a status quo, so there's only so much they can do with the writing.
(sound and fury signifying nothing:-*  you can't read too much into it.   its really just a ploy to sell DVD boxed sets to the Dora the Explorer generation anyway.
as long as you realise that going in, then you should enjoy it well enough.  I took my six year old. she dreamed about SW that night and then played with her action figures all the next day.

and aint that what SW is really all about? ;)

Well said, Wedge.  ;)

Along with the kids and their toys, I'm sure many of us here went home afterwards and played with our illuminated toys.  8)

I just saw it today.  I can't say it was great and can't say it was bad.  The two main battle scenes were great.  The thing I did enjoy besides the action was the plan on how to turn the hutt's against the jedi.  That just screamed sith scheme at me.  Zero the hutt was absolutely ridiculous, I'm not sure if I dislike him more than Jar Jar lol.  It basically comes down to if you are a Star Wars fan you'll tolerate it and like it, if not, it is a pretty mediocre movie.
I did not think it was a bad film. But I also did'nt  think it was the greatest either. "Not Bad." I thought that Zero was a complete waste of movie time though.

Ah phooey. For days now I've been trying to decide whether or not I am going to see this. Until today I havn't read anything about the film's story or any reviews. I was pretty much dead set on the idea that I wouldn't see an animated SW film made for kids. Thought process "Jar-Jar was bad enough, why the f*** did they have to go and make it into a cartoon?!? I don't want SW to end up like Star Trek with too many movies for it's own good!"

However, I picked up a book today in Wally-World (Wal-Mart) about it and saw that Assaj is in the film as well as Dooku and of course Ashoka. I got to thinking that I might as well go see it because maybe it will explain a great many of the things that occur between AOTC and ROTS. ie: Dooku's taking Assaj under his wing as one of his assassins and how they got to meeting each other and the story of how Anakin recieves his scar from her. Curious if Quinlann Vass is in the movie as well and if they explain his role as a Jedi spy and his turmoil with the dark side? I've at least read that they do have the story about the Hutts and the little one that was kidnapped in the film. Most importantly I want to see Grievous' story. I don't care what anyone says, If you know anything about the expanded universe Grievous is a bad m-fer! That dude, slays an xxx ton of Jedi and I really want to see his story told and told well. About how he becomes the droid he is and his rise as the General of the CIS. How Dooku tampers with his mind to make him a more effective killing machine and why he weezes the way he does in ROTS (because he didn't always weeze); Grievous is a pimp, bottom line. So reading that his appearance is short, I am disheartend. They could even explain a little as to why Dooku turns to the dark side, explaining that he wasn't always evil and served for 70 years as a Jedi Knight and a Master on the Council. How he simply and without reason walked away from the order (reason was there, but not seen by the Jedi). Even his meeting with Yoda where Dooku's reveals his personal feelings on the dark side. As far as Ashoka goes, I want to know what happens to her because Anakin was never made a Master, because he never sucessfully trained a Padawan to pass the trials, thus was never awarded the rank of Master. So..does she die, does she suck, does she run off never to be seen again?!?...sigh.

Anyways, you can see I could rant about what I'd like to see from this film, but am not sure I am willing to see it because I do not want to be disappointed with the finished product. I don't care to see a new version of a SW film with plenty of expanded universe characters, but no expanded universe lore. In my opinion it would suck. So, even still I am unsure whether I'll see it or not. Just felt like sharing my opinions.

Grievous only makes a brief cameo role in the theatrical movie, but it looks like he's going to precede Assaj and even Dooku as the main villain of the television series, from what I could gather from the trailer and commercials yesterday. And I agree with you about GG's awesomeness. A lot of people rag on him, but he's definitely one of my favorite characters. Grievous is a pimp indeed. 8)

And I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked Asohka. She's a cool character. The only thing that kinda rubs me the wrong way is her backhanded lightsaber stance that they seem to be pushing as of late, like with The Apprentice in TFU, but I'm willing to look past that. :D
