They say first impressions are the most important... Well, I guess... You won everyone over! ;) This is one of the awesomest sabers I've seen, aside from Yoda's super shinny Negotiator ;) (thanks guys...now I wanna buy an Obi saber *sigh* And I despise that Jedi!)

Welcome to the forum! ;)

Thanks to all for the warm welcome, and the kind comments.  And thanks to DARTH TYRANUS for the post modification.

I've lurked here before, but always knew that when this project was complete, I'd be coming out of the shadows to share it.  Erik put forth an amazing effort on this saber, and really made my design a reality, down to the last millimeter.  It's a dream come true -- I finally have THE Obi saber.  If I need some sound effects, I'll just put on the movie :-)  It's really marvelous that anything fits in here at all.  We hollowed out every part that could be hollowed out without changing the external dimensions at all.  And still, they barely fit.  A Crystal Force module is simply NOT in the cards for a screen-accurate Obi-Wan saber.  The Luxeon III is like icing on the cake.  Really, really, really thick icing.

Welcome...and WOW!!!
To DREAM the IMPOSSIBLE DREAM. To FIGHT the unbeatable foe. To BEAR with unbearable sorrow. To RUN where the brave dare not go. To RIGHT the unrightable wrong. To LOVE, PURE AND CHASTE, FROM AFAR [-sigh-]. To TRY, when your arms are too weary; to REACH the unreachable Star!... This is my Quest; To follow that Star, no matter how hopeless, no matter how far...

This is one fantastic lightsaber.

I didn't much care for a couple of the designs of this model when it first came out, but after I've seen a few revisions (and a creation like this), it really makes it much more appealing.

The presentation on the review was just awesome.  You can definitely "feel" your excitement and pride in the piece.  I think I've mentioned it before on another review... but it's posts like this that are nice to share with others to help them understand a little of the fascination that we all share here on a day to day basis :)

Congratulations on your saber and welcome to the boards... or at least coming out of the shadows  8)

Congratulations on a great saber,  and welcome to the Forums!

I've seen other pieces of Erik's (Acerockets) work over on TCSS's forums,  but not anything quite like that! .

Thanks very much, Elandron.  We both put a lot of work into this thing, from the design, to the intensely difficult construction process, to the final presentation, and it's so nice to have a place to share all that effort where it is really appreciated   :D

I would not like to buy hyperblades saber, it is to expensive and not necessary. - Mr. Makototsai.

The amount of time and effort you have put in has resulted in this beautiful masterpiece. I am awed by just looking at these photographs, I cannot imagine the feeling you have knowing that you are in possession of this PERFECT Obi-Wan lightsaber.

CONGRATULATIONS!

It's tough to align comparison shots perfectly, account for lens distortion differences, etc.  But here's my effort to show a VD comparison.  I think it makes the case for the Z-Saber pretty well.

Very nice saber, shame they can't fit sound in it.

Although it might not be as movie accurate, I think I will stick with my Yoda Obi TPM. :P
