I have several Ultrasabers...both conversions and others...

I will be doing a charity event in a couple weeks for a little boy named Max...
Max is a huge Star Wars fan...and one of his wishes is to battle Darth Maul..
one of our local Darth Mauls will be at the fundraiser to grant Max's wish...

At any rate...I would like to purchase one of the child's sabers to give to Max (I am also sewing him a Jedi robe)
but...only if I can get it quickly (as in immediate ship?)

I would have ordered sooner...but there was a lot of last minute back and forth on where the event would be held...and for a time I was not sure that the event would be a reality...
but we have a place now...
so I would like to go through with getting Max a saber...

Have you contacted Ultra Sabers directly about this yet ? If not, I urge you to do so. Obiviously I can't speak for them but judging from their world wide reputation, I think Max will have no trouble sending Darth Maul begging for mercy on his special day

This is what I would do: Order it online but explain to Ultra Sabers in the NOTE section of the situation. Then send an e-mail to the Ultra's shipping staff at : shipping@ultrasabers.com, with you order # and again, explaining the situation. Ultra Sabers, if not Ultra/Alex himself, will most likely write you back within a day or so, unless something unexpected is happening over at Ultra Sabers.

PS: You might want to consider buying a Youngling saber instead of an Initiate, since Max is only 5 y/o.

Their Ebay listings are mostly In-stock and ready to ship.  In my opinion I would just order one from Ebay and call it good.  Just make sure that the listing states, *In-stock and Ready to Ship*.

Thats Ultra's Email, I would email him directly if you don't want to go the ebay route. (I hate ebay, so I would contact Ultra)  They are awesome when it comes to the customer service.

I sent a note to Ultra Sabers....no reply...

So I ordered the lightsaber for Max with a message to reply regarding delivery in time for Max's "Make a Wish"...
still no reply...

I just bought 1 of the new style Initiates and got a free Initiate saber from the UltraSaber over $100 offer. The free Initiate seems to be an older style: the bottom of the hilt's "latch" is a flat, stubborn piece of plastic, rather than the new style which is just a piece of flexible plastic that slides right on.

Anyways, are the electronics in the two the same? I want to change the LED color, so I was going to order a different Lux III color from TCSS, but from reading this thread, the Initiates used to use Lux I, not Lux III? But the US website shows Initiates use Lux III now?

So is my free, older style Initiate Lux III or Lux I?
