Making a Vader ROTJ FX saber
« on: September 25, 2007, 08:43:41 AM »
I am wanting to convert my Graflex flashgun to make a Vader ROTJ electronic saber with a removable red blade. Can any one help me out? I have all the external parts, just not the electronics.
Thanks

I would go to The Custom Saber Shop and get the Graflex LED/blade holder and a Red/Orage LED and optics (Tim gets nice Red/O, so they are more red than orange)

Next, get yourself a 4.8v 2600mAh NiMH battery pack and a MR soundboard out of a Jedi saber (so you have more than one pathetic clash sound).  Look on TCSS for the wiring guides, and get 'er all wired up.  Viola...Vader ROTJ electronic LED saber.

Also, definitely get one of the speakers from TCSS while you're at it. They are the ones that novastar sourced for use with the Crystal Focus saber core, and are by far one of the better speakers I have heard for sabers.
