I wish they would have shown how exactly Anakin got his scar. In volume II you don't really see that, you just see that he meets Padme and all of a sudden, he has the scar.

I enjoyed the Clone Wars. It was entertaining and it filled in the gaps between AOTC and ROTS. The voices were nicely done, the visuals were great, and best of all to me were the sounds. I loved how they used authentic sound effects from the movies and tied them together with the series. Using the original music helped greatly as well. I enjoyed everything that came along with the Clone Wars as well... the merchandise. Some cool toys came out during that time. It was great for the short time it lasted, but I'd rather the Clone Wars be left behind in terms of television shows.

About how Ani got his scar, that pretend Sith he fought at then end of series 1 (Assaj Ventress) supposedly kidnapped Obi wan and when Anakin rescued him he fought and this time killed her but got the scar in the process.

Doesn't matter anyway because it's only a sometimes scar for Anakin, there are a few scenes, including the cover in ROTS where they "forgot" to put it on.

I thought it could have gone for a lot longer. There were another four or five series easy without going down the path of ridiculous plots like a lot of the EU does

I honestly would have liked to see more clones fighting, they seem very elite compared to the CIS, but it would be an entertaining thing to see. I also wish it was actually animated like an anime, not a Samurai Jack. ::)

to me star wars should never be done in anime. i think it ruins it. i remember in vol. 5 of the comics it was close to being full on anime in some scenes, and it just kind of killed the star wars vibe. but i agree with that they should have shown more fighting with the clones. the special ops hand signals were awsome!
FX Sabers i own:
Darth Maul: TPM (Double Bladed)
Anakin Skywalker: AOTC
Obi- Wan Kenobi: ROTS
Anakin Skywalker: ROTS
Mace Windu: ROTS
Darth Vader: ANH
Luke Skywalker: ESB

Well, *dusting the dust off of this topi* since we've opened up the Clone wars topic earlier and it will be coming out next year, aside from the style of cartoon, I found the Clone Wars to be half-decent. I agree with Lando, and it should have been deeper and more talking, but it did fill before ROTS. From a SW standponit, it did allow us to see new planets and new characters.I, as an older forum member and older SW fan, would NOT have like to see the CW in anime. It's not Star Wars and that would have ruined it. I haven't watched cartoons (Except the Sunday night line-up) and the last good graphiced cartoon I saw was He-Man. Now THAT may have held a better animation edge for Star Wars.

Being a bit younger than ol' Stinky up there ;) I can see his point still. If the art house for MOTU (2001-2004) could have been utilized, the Clone Wars series would have been much more visually appealing.

This does not go to say the Gennedy Tartakovsky's Style is bad. Much the opposite. Samurai Jack had a great feel to it, and when I first watched it, it really did have a bit of a "Star Wars" feel to it. Especially when Jack first woke up in the future. It looked quite a bit like Coruscant!

Now that the new show will be coming out within the next year, I think it will be improved on. However, I have some issues with the charater design from the trailer and Star Wars Insider #95 (Somehow issue 94 never made it to my house, but that's another ball of worms).

Obi-Wan doesn't look right for some reason. Anakin actually looks better in my opinion, and the Clone Troopers actually look AWESOME!. But, the character models all have heads that are WAY too large, and just seem too dis-proportionate. :-\

Please don't think that I am ripping the new series apart before I have seen it. That is not my intention, but merely my initial point of view on what I have seen. It may turn out that this series has other points that will make it shine above all others. We shall have to wait and see. :)

I didn't mind the clone wars style.although it felt like watching Samurai Jack,Powerpuff Girls, and Dex's lab rolled into one.I like my cartoons to be a bit more graphic, and detailed. I guess they was using this as a template to see how well it went over. I would love for them to do aome more EU
like KOTOR,or even the Jedi Apprentice series.Flesh out Qui-Gon's,Obi-Wans Characters a bit more. 8)

I loved the Clone Wars cartoon. I mean I never saw the other ones but the guy (I forgot his name but his last name starts with a "T") says that in the Volume II bonus material when you watch it you'll forget it's a cartoon & you'll believe it's the characters. He was right. ;)

I love the cartoon & I think that it's just like a Star Wars movie only as a cartoon. There is gonna be a CG Clone Wars coming soon. ;D
