UPDATED RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE FX-SABERS.COM WEBSITE: This website is dedicated to family fun,
ABOVE ALL ELSE. We invite all collectors, fans and interested parties of the FFX Lightsaber to join our site and we also enjoy having members of other FFX Lightsaber forums here. Understand this, however,
THIS FORUM HAS A FIRMER APPROACH TO MODERATING and the rules and regulations of this site are to be adhered to, no matter of opinion or experience somewhere else.
In this
RULES AND REGULATIONS GUIDE, the word:
MEMBERS will mean the
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP.
MEMBERS OF THE S.A.B.E.R. GUILD are MEMBERS of the FX-Sabers.com site who have been inaugurated by the
S.A.B.E.R. GUILD. More information about
MEMBERS OF THE S.A.B.E.R. GUILD found in this section. Please read it here. ->
S.A.B.E.R. GUILDMODERATORS will mean the Members of the FX-Sabers.com site who oversee the implementation and enforcement of the FX-Sabers.com site's Rules and Regulations.
S.A.B.E.R. GUILD LIAISONS are the
MODERATORS that have been appointed to assist with
MEMBERS OF THE S.A.B.E.R. GUILD due to overwhelming circumstances.
ADMINISTRATORS will mean the creators of the FX-Sabers.com website. They oversee the behaviour of
ALL MEMBERS and have the final decision as to what will transpire in any event.
In the past,
MEMBERS here would post harsh comments and negatively direct forum posts here. When approached by
MODERATORS of this site, via PM, in regards to their actions, a common answer that a
MEMBER gave was:
- "
well, over at "so and so's" site, they let us get into it"
OR - "
we're allowed to say this there"
OR- "
why are did you guys single me out, I was just retorting to what they said about me"
There are many other concerns and issues as to these response. Well.....
WE ARE NOT THOSE SITESAND
IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE OR CONCERN, APPROACH A MODERATOR WITH YOUR COMPLAINT.
"Respecting others brings you both respect for yourself. We ALL love the FFX Lightsaber, so let's not forget that. We should be helping each other out. This will help the Saber community grow and prosper."
GROUND RULES THAT WILL BE IMPLEMENTED, REGARDLESS WHOEVER CREATES A POST:The
MEMBERS here at FX-Sabers.com has been relatively aware and respectful of the above rule implemented by the MODERATING STAFF. However, I'll elaborate on it along with more rules and regulations in a manner that are simpler to understand:

PMing a MODERATOR personally OR
use the Report to Moderator option below the QUOTE and MODIFY buttons)
1.
SWEARING - Even though we have a swear filter on this site, there are still ways of typing words that sound similar to this or posting pics of vulgar or pornographic acts/material. Due to the nature of this website, this manner of posting
will be removed, regardless and a PM warning will be sent by a
MODERATOR to remove it from their post. Furthermore, if this manner of behaviour is continued by the
MEMBER, the issue will be brought before the COUNCIL and the
MEMBER will be PMed by the
ADMINISTRATOR of this site, whom will decide in what manner to proceed with this issue. THIS IS FINAL.
In the event of anything pornographic, you will be automatically placed on a Temporary Ban and the
ADMINISTRATOR will render the final decision.

FLAMING -
THIS IS NOT TOLERATED. Any FLAMING of another
MEMBER or
MODERATOR will result in a PM warning. A second incident will result in a TEMPORARY BAN, in which the
MEMBER'S activity will be reviewed and then brought before the COUNCIL for review. If the
MEMBER is caught FLAMING a third time, there will be a
Temporary Ban again and a FINAL DECISION will be implemented by the site's
ADMINISTRATOR.

BELITTLEMENT OF OTHER MEMBERS AND/OR MODERATORS - Even though a
MEMBER'S view of another
MEMBER'S/
MODERATOR'S behaviour may be that of irritation and immaturity, there is NO EXCEPTION OF PUTTING THEM OR THEIR STATEMENT(s) DOWN. This can sometimes be confused with a
MODERATOR explaining a post's meaning for the 5th or 6th time after it was explained by the topic's author. Unfortunately, because the
MEMBERS and
MODERATORS do not see face to face physically, meaningless repetition of an inquisitive post is to be taken at face value, as the way it is typed. If a
MEMBER feels that a
MEMBER or
MODERATOR is belittling them, PM a
MODERATOR or the
ADMINISTRATOR with your concerns.
"Please respect all ADMINISTRATORS/MODERATORS. They do the best they can to keep the peace and create an enjoyable environment for all MEMBERS. Please adhere to their suggestions and posts. If you need to clarify anything with their post, PM them. They will do their best to explain their reasoning."4.
SPAMMING - "Please keep all topics "on track" and keep the spamming to a minimum. If the ADMINISTRATORS or MODERATORS see any excessive spamming, the posts will be deleted, no questions asked. Also, please keep the topics in the correct forums. If you don't know where a specific thread should go, then post it in the
Q/A FORUM . A mod will move it to the correct forum if need be. On that note, don't flip out if your topic gets moved. Again, if you have a problem with something, then please take it up with a
MODERATOR."
5.
HARASSMENT - This is an increasing problem that is starting to creep into the FX-Sabers.com Forums as of late.
MEMBERS have been "beating a dead horse" or "jumping on the BASH wagon" with regards to another
MEMBER'S post/topic. This seems to invite more
MEMBERS to take "pot-shots" at the
MEMBER who initiated the topic or post in question. This behaviour not only leaves that
MEMBER with a feeling of either anger or hurt or both. But
HARASSMENT is a double edge sword. Asking HARASSING questions that lead nowhere and are repetitive, will result in a stern in-forum warning or warning in the form of a PM from a
MODERATOR. Keep your negative comments and derogative insults to yourself. If you have an issue, contact a
MODERATOR. HARASSMENT is not tolerated in real life and there is no exception here.
MEMBER WILL be contacted with a warning and that INCIDENT will be discussed in the COUNCIL. A second warning will result in a
Temporary Ban and the
MEMBER will be dealt with by the
ADMINISTRATOR.
6.
TOPIC RULES - On FX-Sabers.com, there are topics that are like games, done for fun and lighten the mood of the more serious topic threads involved in collecting or so on. The
MODERATORS have noticed that some of the
MEMBERS are not following the rules laid out by the
topic's author. Please follow the rules that are implemented. If it becomes out of hand, either the
topic's author or the
MODERATORS will inform that
MEMBER of the rules. If the
MEMBER insists on not following the rules, that
MEMBER'S posts in that topic
will be removed by a
MODERATOR and the
MEMBER will be notified by the
MODERATOR via PM. If that
MEMBER persists in not following any topic's rules, the
MEMBER will be PMed and warned. The next warning will be from the
MODERATOR and that
MEMBER will have a
Temporary Ban and shall be contacted by the
ADMINISTRATOR.
7.
GET PERMISSION -
This is a grey area in regards to definition. However, if a
MEMBER has
not been approved by the
ADMINISTRATOR to post sales, special positions for
MODERATORS or
MEMBERS advertising businesses, DO NOT DO SO. The
MEMBER will be warned by PM,
the topic locked and / or removed, REGARDLESS and it will be discussed in COUNCIL. A second warning will result in a
Temporary Ban and the
MEMBER will be dealt with by the
ADMINISTRATOR.

MEMBER is not sure of something, use this thread. ->

topic's author or any general question instead of starting a thread that will have one answer and then be locked.
THE S.A.B.E.R. GUILD AND S.A.B.E.R GUILD LIAISONS In the last two years, FX-Sabers.com has grown dramatically in
MEMBER size and has become recognized as a great place to contact
MEMBERS OF THE S.A.B.E.R. GUILD. Along with this, the increase in demand of "Custom FFX Lightsabers" has really increased. And in order to cope with the increase, some
MODERATORS have been appointed to oversee assistance with the overloaded
MEMBERS OF THE S.A.B.E.R. GUILD.(
CLICK HERE) They are
S.A.B.E.R. GUILD LIAISONS and they are there to answer questions in regards to the
MEMBERS OF THE S.A.B.E.R. GUILD they are assisting. Please understand that the
S.A.B.E.R. GUILD LIAISONS are appointed to relieve the heavy stress that
MEMBERS OF THE S.A.B.E.R. GUILD are going through.
AVATARS AND SIGNATURE SIZES FOR MEMBERSHIP OF THE FX-SABERS WEBSITE The total amount allowed at this time for the
MEMBERS's Avatar size is 80 pixels x 80 pixels and the Signature size is 300 pixels long by 150 pixels high,
IN TOTAL. This allows the Site to open pages at a smoother and faster rate for our
MEMBERS. Some
MEMBERS may still use dial-up and/or DSL, which moves at a slower rate than cable or T1 / T3. Also, there is to be no links to personal or other sites in the signature section.
*EXCEPTION* A MAXIMUM OF 2 LINKS TO OTHER FX-SABERS.COM FORUM TOPICS IS ALLOWED. But only links to within the Site *EXCEPTION* This what the
MEMBER's Profile is for and any links will
asked to be removed. If the
MEMBER exceeds the Avatar and/or the Signature size, they will be asked to correct the size. If asked a second time, the
MEMBER shall be asked a second time SHALL be removed. If the
MEMBER continues to disregard the Avatar and Signature Size Parameters, the
MEMBER shall be warned by a
MODERATOR. If the
MEMBER thereafter disregards the warning, the
ADMINSTRATOR shall be informed and deem what course of action shall be taken.
NOTE:
MODERATORS,
ADMINSTRATORS and
SABER GUILD MEMBERS are allowed more size
due to the nature of their position and
SABER GUILD MEMBERS ARE allowed to have THEIR website in their signatures for business purposes.
Also, when
MEMBERS create their Screen Name, please refrain from Capitalizing each letter in that name, as this is for the
MODERATORS and the
ADMINSTRATORS. This is to distinguish them in a simpler fashion.
MEMBERS who have total Capitalization, will be asked to correct this. If the
MEMBER does not correct this, than a
MODERATOR and/or the
ADMINSTRATOR shall change it. If the
MEMBER continues to Capitalize their Screen Name, the
MEMBER shall be warned by a
MODERATOR. Continued Capitalizing by the
MEMBER shall be construed as a form of disregard for the Site's Rules and Regulations and the
MEMBER shall be brought to the
ADMINISTRATOR, whom will deem the actions to follow.
