I don't know if anyone with the MR build your own saber/ Joe Jedi kit noticed but the end cap is a shorter version of the maul end cap. so the coupler from the maul can attach your "custom" hilt and your maul hilt together.

Benefits? Well, it's shorter by a few inches than the maul maul saber staff. It is off balance( the maul is heavier), which is a cool feeling when swinging it. It lets you have a blue or green saber on one side and a red on the other to have a "change your path" kind of saber. Or you can save money because the kit is $80 at radioshaq.com and the maul only needs to be the single because it comes with a coupler. With half a maul and a tri-lux saber you can have a saber staff and save a few bucks.
