Custom Starkiller WIP... Update 10/24
« on: October 24, 2014, 12:03:17 AM »
This is a work in progress, Some of you have been very interested in following this, so here is the update... sorry for the delay, but I got a girlfriend recently and it delayed the project... I'll be making a few of these for sale, so keep an eye out, because once they are made and go on sale, they'll be gone :)

The only thing left on the prototype is to replace the temporary hardware with final hardware, minor additions to the weathering, a leather wrap for the handle, and installed electronics...

and some pics of the current progress:

New Progress 10/24

Added the leather grip and final hardware (missing one button head on the lower middle section  ::) )

The leather was a bit of a compromise for me, it was slightly thicker than i wanted, but it was a rough piece of leather with pits and tearing that I felt fit SK perfectly. The hardware has all been weathered to give it a used look.

Now to do electronics, make a special blade plug  and do final weathering  8)

(Special thanks to RyDiddy for the awesome deal on acrylic stands)

Thanks for the kind words all :) OP is updated with new pics, but here's one for those that don't want to scroll up:

Price is TBD, I have to calculate material cost and factor in hours when i do the group build, definitely under $100 though :)
