2007 Force FX signature Luke ROTJ Dead!

Hello
I am new to this forum.
Recently my barely used 2007 Hasbro Force FX Signature Series ROTJ saber died completely.
No power-no sound-nothing.
I thought it may be the switch, so I dismantled it.
When I spliced the switch wires together, I briefly got a few LEd illuminated in the middle.
Since then nothing.
Using a meter, I see just under 5 volts from the battery pack and on different sides of the resisters, other than that I am clueless.
Anyway to test this board?
Any advice appreciated.

if only a few LEDs lit up when you got it to power up, it makes me thing there might be a short in your blade somewhere. try disconnecting your blade and see if you can get it to power on (you will hear the sounds)
also, make sure you are trying it with fresh batteries.

with LED's unplugged, no sounds, nothing

make sure youre getting a good connection from your battery pack. i understand they can be kinda sketchy for getting a good connection without enough pressure applied. check your connection through there. worst case scenario, you have a bad board... replace it... or better yet, upgrade to a better one :)

best advise is send it to someone who knows what they are doing, you dont want to end up breaking it
thers plenty of saber smiths who can fix this for you
