Few questions, VV does not have a RICE port correct? How have you been trying to edit the color profiles. I am fairly certain that VV comes with 10 colors preset on all of their sabers. Did you change any of the original configs?
Also when you say 3 banks, do you mean three sound banks or 3 color banks? Each sound bank will have a preset color, but each of them is able to display all 10 colors if you cycle through the colors. IF you press the Aux and the Main blades at the same time (while the saber is ignited), it will switch the color to the next color profile, regardless of the sound bank you are using.
Forgive me if that is too basic, but since you just got them, I am not sure how familiar you are with the operation.
If you are able to hit the main and aux switch and get the colors to change within the sound font while the saber is activated it sounds like your color profiles (in the override.txt ) got messed up.
