Cyan blade with orange foc
« on: June 27, 2015, 12:51:04 PM »
I've only ever built sabers with a single color led and I'm looking to step up to the next level. I don't know much about color mixing but I do know that I want cyan with orange foc.. What do I need??

You'll want a board that supports color mixing, such as the prizm, spark color, igniter, or crystal focus.

Cyan is b/g.

Orange is r/g.

So unless you had a rggb led, you will need a color mixing board to be able to switch between the two colors for foc.

Would a PC 3.5 w/ color extender work?

Yep, the PC and a cex work very nicely as well. Good luck!

Another board that will work is the Nano Biscote also. I do it all the time with the extender option. Only catch is you cant color mix well so you would have to order a custom Tri-rebel LED. but doing that you can get a cyan, cyan , orange. so 2x cyan brightens essentially.

Your Choice Of Any 3 Rebel LEDs Soldered To A 20mm Tri-Star CoolBase

I just went cyan - 122 lm x2 and a red orange 122 lm and it rings up at $17.63 on there. and before you ask I have ordered several custom dies before and they normally arrive within a week.
