I agree with lgtsbr on this- I'd rather see a straight 1" replica over a 7/8".  And I'd also like a reproduction button rather than this revised version, yet I get you are mostly the messenger.

I think there are plans for a straight Graflex Replica from another vendor to be announced soon.  These kits being offered by Randy are awesome because they will be ready for install of light and sound.

If it is 7/8, I would be out.  Just to give you accurate count.

Just a suggestion: offer with a 7/8 in adapter?

  • Is it possible to learn this power?
Count me as interested in 1 graflex.

Regarding the model k , will the pommel be casted similar to the emitter on the dm1 or will it be machined?

Unfortunately, 7/8 is not for me. If there will be an adapter solution or things change, I might reconsider. I will definitely keep my eye on this thread. For a nice kit it is...

7/8" is OK by me...count me 'IN' for one Graflex kit.

Do you have a price for the DV6 yet?

I guess. But people have shown 7/8ths for the most part stands up to duelling... I'm all for 7/8ths. I actually prefer it. :)

It really depends on the type of dueling.  7/8" is fine for sparring, but heavy dueling not so much.  I also prefer the look of the 1" blade for fullness/brightness.  But for me, not a deal breaker.

its not that much of a difference -  7/8 to 1 inch, its such a very small noticible measurement. I will ask about it, but I have little control over how they get created, but if it is something you cant live with, than it is what is is...I like 7/8 because most of my units are now based around that...but I'll keep investigating...if I get it confirmed that its 7/8, then those who wanted 1 inch bail out, if I get it approved to be 1 inch blade opening than the people who liked 7/8 bail out...see I already said, I cant please 100% of everyone..  LOL

these 3 models will all be run at the same time...

I think the way to keep costs down, on the Model K, it will also be investment casting, like the duke, but I now have a place that will polish the heck out of it if needed, but correct me if I am wrong, but the original looks very old, weathered and darker metal, so maybe people dont want it polished?   the photo is just a cad rendering, it doesnt neccessarily mean it will be shiney like that...so we're look at the shape and I'll learn more about the final finish of it

On the model K, can you ask that it be threaded together vs a few setscrews like the Duke, so there is no looseness or wobble to it?

Thank you.
