Master Replica's
Force FX Sabers!!

2002/2003 -
Generation 1 - Gen 1 FX sabers were the
first models ever produced by Master Replicas.
They used 6 AA batteries, and the
hilts are significantly "oversized" to accommodate all of the electronics
stuffed
into them. The Anakin EP II and Luke EP VI FX sabers both used an EL or
electro-luminescent blade instead of
LED's. Because of this, the Anakin EP
II and the Luke EP VI do NOT have the power up/power down movie effect.
The
Anakin EP II- AOTC was
first released in late 2002, while the Luke ROTJ was released in early 2003.

2003/2004 - Generation 2 - Gen 2 FX
sabers were slightly different in design as they all used the LED
lights for the
blade power-up/down effect. These models still used 6 AA batteries, but the
electronics were slightly
improved, and the hilts were made more durable. The
Vader EP IV - ANH was first released in late 2003, while
the Mace and Luke were
released in 2004.

With each passing year, the technology used in
producing these FX sabers is
getting better and better. While the Gen 1 sabers
left a lot to be desired, the Gen 3 blades are really coming along
nicely! These
now use 3 AA batteries, while still keeping the 64 LED blades. Because they now use only 3
batteries,
this means a more accurate sized hilt. Despite half the batteries, light
and sound is at least equal to earlier models,
if not better.

Master Replicas has done it again. With each
passing year Force FX
technology just keeps getting better! These new Force FX
lightsabers feature even better (louder/crisper)
sounds, improved electronics,
new speakers and pre-amps, better power management, and improved
blade
durability!
